Tradecraft
At the U.S. government agencies, operations officers are responsible for collecting human intelligence by recruiting and handling sources of foreign intelligence. As such, they must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships that ultimately result in high-value intelligence from foreign sources.
The Foundation, therefore, will accept candidates who
- Have excellent physical and psychological health
- Have lots of energy
- Who have street sense and a good intuition
- Can cope well with stress
- Possess excellent verbal skills
- Possess excellent written skills
- Be able to work under pressure and under short deadlines
- Are inquisitive and action-oriented
- Are able to synthetize large amounts of information and develop it into a clear and concise picture
- Are able to draw appropriate conclusions
- Are able to prioritize a large number of tasks/responsibilities
- Are able to work alone or as part of a team
- Are able to negotiate.
All candidates must
- Be prepared to spend a good deal of their career working overseas
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be United States citizens
- Possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Pass a background investigation, and be determined preliminarily suitabe for future top-secret security clearance
Highly desirable qualifications for candidates include
- Fluency in a foreign language
- A history of traveling or living abroad
- A sensitivity to other cultures
- Excellent investigative skills
The training duration is 27 weeks.
As a part of the selection procedure, all candidates will undergo evaluations that will determine the suitability for our Program.
The selection process is tough, and not everyone will be accepted. The training itself is demanding, and not all will graduate. But the lives of those who complete it will never be the same.
